The 2018 Cape and Islands Regional Network on Homelessness Point in Time (PIT) count will take place starting on the evening of Tuesday, January 30, 2018 and continuing for 24 hours into Wednesday, January 31, 2018.

The PIT count is a snapshot of the number of sheltered and unsheltered homeless individuals within the region during the last 10 calendar days of January. In the unsheltered counting efforts, members of the Cape and Islands Regional Network on Homelessness, outreach workers, faith-based organizations, social service professionals, government representatives, and a host of volunteers from a variety of backgrounds are trained and organized to go into the community and interview people who appear to be living in places not meant for human habitation.
A training session for all volunteers will be held on January 17th from 3:30-4:30 PM at Housing Assistance Corporation, 460 West Main Street, Hyannis, MA. Read more.
